There are specific insurances for au pairs coming to The Netherlands, such as the ISIS Au Pair Insurance. Au pair insurances need to be taken out by the host family and before the au pairs leaves her home country. This way, you are certain of a suitable and reliable insurance for your au pair during her stay in The Netherlands.
Keep in mind that pre-existing medical and dental ailments are never covered (this applies to all travel insurances).
The ISIS Au Pair Insurance is a complete insurance for au pairs coming to The Netherlands with the following features:
- Covers emergency medical costs, extraordinary expenses (for example a ticket home in case of serious illness, accident or death of a close relative), repatriation, luggage, cancellation, travel accidents, personal liability, holidays with/without host family in Europe (depends on chosen coverage: Au pair or Au pair plus).
- Maximum duration: 2 years
- Maximum age: 35 years
- Coverage meets Schengen visa requirements
- Covers medical costs of the au pair during a one-off, temporary (max. 31 days) visit to home country
- Adventurous sports are covered.
- Can be easily extended.
- Insurance needs to be taken out by host family, before the au pair leaves her home country.
